It is a tradition that has been faithfully observed at Blue Fielders for several years: the annual winter sports trip! Sporting together and a few days of pure enjoyment. Of the sport, of the company and of the environment. “This team outing is one of the rare times we all get together, which is unique. That’s why we go every year,” said Broos Kerssemakers, Managing Director Blue Fielders.

Blue Fielders’ athletic group is not to be missed. “We drive a group of cars behind each other towards St. Anton. We are all lovers of skiing and snowboarding, although we are also very good at après ski!”, Broos laughingly admits.

The engineers may differ in age, but they all have similar experiences in their work. That creates a bond and trust. “We actually see each other very little, but on winter sports there is that click right away. Then we talk about other things like machines and work. While enjoying skiing/snowboarding and a beer you can very well talk about other things.”

Looking back and positively forward

Winter sports are also the annual time to pause and look back. “It was two tedious years, globally. Our engineers were not allowed to travel and that has quite an impact when you are used to being on the road a lot. That was a difficult time and I do want to reflect on that during a trip like that. And then draw a big black line under it. We look ahead positively and see what we can do again now.”
