Different ways of contracting
Rabobank conducted research on the distribution of the working population of the Netherlands. They found through CBS that 30% of these are flexible workers. This flex shell consists of self-employed, temporary workers, zero-hours contracts/call workers and secondees. We are all familiar with temping through the larger staffing agencies such as Randstad and Adecco, and specialized agencies such as Continu. The disadvantage is that these types of parties have many candidates and clients, so delivering quality cannot always be guaranteed. In addition to staffing, these types of parties also regularly do recruitment and selection. Executive search is a variant of this that focuses primarily on mediating top (temporary) positions. In both cases, the client pays a one-time fee, buying over the employment contract, as it were.
